A
little about Eric
Eric Newton has been interested in photography since he was introduced to it in middle school. There, he learned the techniques of film developing and capturing the perfect picture. Eric’s first camera was a simple Kodak 110 film camera. In 1985 he advanced to his first film SLR camera a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that he still has and occasionally uses for nostalgia.
Eric was an early adopter of digital cameras, realizing their potential he began shooting his subjects with both, his film and his digital cameras. His work has been featured on greeting cards, invitations, web sites and other print correspondence.
Eric's primary interests are landscape, wildlife and nature photography, he has also photographed weddings, anniversaries, and parties; he even delved in portraiture and studio photography. His current gear includes the Minolta Maxxum 7000, Nikon D90 and D80 camera bodies and a variety of flashes and lenses with focal lengths ranging from 18mm to 300mm.
Eric lives in Northern Virginia and does most of his photography close to home, in the Washington metropolitan area. However, his photography has taken him to shoot on location around the country.
Simply put, Eric loves to take pictures; he sees beauty in absolutely everything and wants to share it with everyone else.
When Eric is not working, you will find him spending time with his best friend, his wife Ania. The two of them love long bike rides, fishing, tennis and just spending time together. |
